A 20 minute module will typically be made up of 25 screens and include text, images, basic interactive activities to scaffold knowledge, a scenario to apply what has been learned, and basic transitional animations. 

This is an example of a Level 2 eLearning module designed for a specific telecommunications company to train their new recruits (located across multiple European offices) about the company, its vision, markets, employees, expectations and resources. 

A photographic design style was used to reflect their brand and core messages. 

The interactive office is one example of a Level 3 design - in terms of complexity of interaction and graphic design. Here learners can explore and direct their own learning in a structured environment.

For example, learners can click on multiple office hot spots to read important documents, access resources, applications and web sites on their computer, simulate telephone conversations by clicking on their phone and / or open a door to talk to their line manager or colleague. The interactive office can therefore be shaped to meet specific learning requirements.

A Level 4 Module has a higher level of overall design interactivity and complexity.

It utilises the full range of audio, animation, videos and graphics to simulate working scenarios; interactions with people, operations, processes and can illustrate and develop specific skills.

Level 5 eLearning modules incorporate the full multimedia suite to simulate a serious game or working environment. This gives learners a more full sensory learning experience. This in turn leads to better retention and recall of learning.

The objective of the game is to help a character move through four areas of their life (home, work, travel and waste) in order to find ways to reduce CO2 emissions in the fastest time to save the planet.

Level 6 eLearning modules are custom-made designs using the highest end of Computer Generated Imagery and learning design to simulate real world events or operations for optimum training.

As a result, learners experience a multi-sensory, almost-real learning environment. This enables learners to fully engage, attend to, retain and recall learned skills, behaviours and knowledge for application in varying contexts at a later date.
